What is Calliope?
Calliope is Amity's literary magazine, although we also feature visual art--this includes photography and drawings. We have one issue every year that goes on sale in May. We'll update sales information on this blog.
What can I submit?Calliope features prose, poetry, song lyrics, academic and personal essays--any writing you would like to publish. We also accept visual art such as photography and scans of drawings/paintings. However, we print in black and white, so keep that in mind. We also do not publish everything sent to us. All who are published receive a free copy of the magazine.
How do I submit my work to Calliope?
Below, there is that will send you to a Google submit form. Here, you can copy and paste your work from a word processor. However, formatting may not carry over, so check your work in the submit form carefully. If you wish to send an e-mail with an attachment, our e-mail address is AHSCalliope@gmail.com.
When can I submit?
We will be accepting submissions until February 15th, 2013. If we extend the date, we will post an update here, so stay tuned!

Will my name be published?If you wish, you can request to be published anonymously. However, include your name so we can send you your free copy.
No, we are not named after Calliope Wong.
